My grandpa bought us some Radio Shack or similar knock-off Pong-only ?home video game? thing way back when. But the Intellivision was the first ?home video game system? we had.
It?s also the last one I ever owned. My roommates had a Playstation when I was in my 20s, and I used to play Wipeout and Doom a bit, but other than that I?ve never been much into home video games. (Though I spent most of several paychecks as a teenager playing Centipede, Tempest, Tron, and Star Wars in the arcade next to the head shop downtown.)
I also remember playing Space Invaders and Pong in the ?arcade? at the back of the toy store when they first came out because I?m OLD.
