Virginia?s many small family burial plots on private properties are increasingly endangered ? including Rock Hill Cemetery in Loudoun County. The state is trying to slow the trend by offering cemetery preservation workshops. It?s unclear what will happen to Rock Hill after its longtime caretaker, Vernon Peterson, retires or dies.
